The Beauty of the King, Part Four

Who bows first, the people or the king? I don't know, but I treasure the passages referenced here:

Jehovah’s plans over all stand through all generations: Ecc 3:14-15, Ecc 11:5, Psalm 33:11
God's special relationship with Israel did anticipated blessings to all nations: Ex 19:5-6, Ezekial 5:5
Gentile nations in the OLD covenant had the opportunity to repent truly and corporately: Psalm 148, Jonah.
God’s Salvation will reach all nations: Psalms 22, 72, and 102; Revelations 7:9-12
Jesus rules over all authorities (including national authorities): Psalm 2, Matt 28:18-20, Ephesians 1, Philippians 2, Rev 12:5
Now God commands all people everywhere to repent: Acts 17:30-31
Should not all Gentile nations repent in the NEW covenant? (Gen 18:18, 22:18, 26:4, Ps 72:17, Matt 18:19, Romans 16:26)
Wicked people have loved it when their leaders were wicked: Jer 5:30-31*
Generally, God blesses a righteous nation with a righteous leader: Psalm 125:3, Psalm 33:12

*Has God not justly appointed it this way? Although Christians do live in wicked nations with wicked leaders, they DO have a righteous King reigning over them and in them. We don't retreat to create our own nation; rather, we work in faith for the obedience of faith among all nations for His name (Romans 1:5). The Church lives to glorify & enjoy God, to proclaim Jesus’ Kingship to all. In other words, we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness on earth as it is in heaven.

He is beautiful in the way He hates wickedness. Light has no fellowship with darkness. In fact, He confronted evil religious leaders without "politeness":

Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness." - Luke 22:52-53

"...you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions..." - Psalm 45:7

"Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness." - Psalm 29:2

Mfriend asked me this beauty: If all sinners of all religions go to hell, then why don't I?If the Holy God rightly punishes those who hate Him, how can I escape?

What do sinners do in hell? They eternally suffer God's righteous, holy anger against sin AND sinners who all their lives showed themselves to be His enemies. They are in the terrible presence of His wrath. Forever.

Why can any sinner escape hell? Because Jesus went for me. Jesus suffered an eternity of hell, an infinity of hell, on the cross. What I mean is that the cross demonstrates God's wrath most clearly. He could never clear the guilty. Therefore the Just One took on the guilt of the nations. When God first judged the world through a flood, Noah and his family were saved in the ark (a big boat). In the coming judgment, so are we are saved in the Christ. Jesus is all there is, and He is good, true, glorious! I have so much more to say about Him. Flee from God's wrath!

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
- Matthew 28:16-20
I can't describe how delightful Jesus' words are here. The reason He commanded,
"Go, therefore and make disciples of all nations..."
was because all authority in heaven and on earth had been given to Him!
Look, Jesus' disciples have this Jesus who has all authority, this Jesus with them always, to the end of the age.
